To recap: iphone like sms chat interface that synchronizes past messages too. Otherwise, no complaints here, I really like what's going on.

Thanks, we are already thinking about this idea too, added it to the wish list.

Any chance you could make a iphone like dialpad too for my p1?

Sorry, I don't understand this. Do you want this dialpad in our web interface? Why not just type on the keyboard? Please explain.

Thanks,

Would be nice if I could send service commands from bloove. When dialed from phone, it recognizes them but when dialing from your web interface, voice call is initiated. Would be even better, if result of the command is sent back to PC.
Thanks, M.

We're working on it, but we don't have any exact timeframe. And some good news, check back next week: several new features will be announced.

We appreciate your feedback.

Hi all,
I have some ideas
1) Auto Start option( So that if we forget mobile somewhere we can call log and messages to check).
2) Default Access Point option.
3) Run as System application so that we can hide it from the running applications list.
And finally how about auto sync for certain time interval or when find gets access to default wifi access point or GPRS access point

Very impressed with the progress, thumbs up on the thumbnails feature. Still a few more suggestions:

1) At the moment bloove only syncs sms txt messages, really would like mms messages to be included with this.

2) Would be great if you could adapt the bloove page to run on the ipod touch/iphone browser. Also if there were some way to sync my phone contacts (Nokia phone) to my ipod contacts then it would be very handy too.

3) Finally if you could include the actual contact thumbnails in the list of contacts in the bloove contacts page

Thank you, abhista and jakaraka,

All feature requests added to our internal wiki. We're going to announce winners of our competition at the end of April, just after launch of premium plans.

By the way, does iphone support wml or mobile xhtml? (Hint: read only browsing on your mobile is in development too).

Woohoo! xml as far as I know! Atleast thats what the developers on the homebrew scene are using in their applications.

Hi, I just started using Bloove today with my Nokia N95. Previously I used Shozu, but they no longer support contacts backup.

Bloove has many great features that Shozu never had, like logs which are very useful. But I would like to recommend a few good features that the Shozu contact backup service had before it was recently discontinued:

- Automatically started in the background when the phone was switched on.

- Automatically connected and updated your online contacts as soon as you added or amended a contact on your phone.

- You could specify and rank the connections to be used. So for example I had my home wifi as number 1 and my 3G cell service as number 2. If my wifi connection was detected, then it would be used to connect and synchronise, if not then the app would try number 2 (my 3G cell service).

By making the synch instant and automatic in the background, the user does not need to remember to do a synch and will never lose a contact.

There are numerous other photo sharing and social networking apps/services available. But not too many that offer good contacts/logs/messages backup like Bloove. I really hope that you guys continue to offer these services and do not change to become like all the others, who only offer the sharing and social networking features. I would definitely pay for a service like Bloove.

Thank you for positive feedback, I added all features you proposed to our internal bugzilla, so we'll consider them for future releases. Personally, I also want to use autostart and autosync feature

Btw, do you have any idea why shozu discontinued their contact backup service?

According to shozu, the contacts feature took up a lot of their maintenance and development time, but not too many shozu users knew about this feature (it was not enabled by default) and so a lot of them did not use it. Most people thought that Shozu was just for photo/video uploads.

They should have advertised this feature more, it was very good. If more people had known about it, then more people would have used it.

Bloove has even more features - now you just need to make the synch automatic

Hi,

What I would like to do with Bloove is to operate my phone from PC remotely.
I mean launch any application that is in the phone and operate ir remotely. I don't know if it's possible, but what I mean is to emulate phone navigation keys, so whatever is in the cell would be possible to run remotely, not just contacts and messages, but any particularly application.

SE phones have an Autostart feature in permissions. Why not turn it on? (It says "Prmissions not configurable)
So I don't have to go through the list of apps to turn it on.
